Topic:  Serenity Now: Emotional Regulation through Play and Expressive Arts Therapies

Presenters: Christine Zouaoui, LPC, RPT-S & Kaitlynn Morelli, R-DMT, LPC, CYT-200, CRP

Workshop Description: Play therapy and expressive arts therapy have been used to help with healing for many years. The processing that happens during the actual act of play, art creation, and movement helps clients move through their healing.

In this experiential workshop, you will learn numerous play therapy and expressive arts techniques focused on helping clients with self-regulation. Each of the techniques shared covers a wide range of uses and adapts to many theoretical models of play therapy. Individual, group, and family techniques are included.  These activities are new and there are no repeats from previous workshops by Christine and Kaitlynn.

Throughout the day, participants will learn numerous techniques to use with clients of all developmental levels to help with emotional and physical dysregulation. These techniques will work with numerous diagnoses and many types of clients. Taught with a neuroscientific lens along with polyvagal theory, participants will learn techniques and understand how these techniques work with clients. Through their unique styles of presentation, Christine and Kaitlynn offer a well-rounded, thorough, and energetic day of learning and self-care. Come join us!
