A great conference! The East Regional Conference in Livonia can be summed up in this way: Ken Schwartzenberger, a student of Viola Brody, gave us a multitude of techniques to implement in our practices. Ken’s developmental play therapy model is an extension of Viola’s model for facilitating attachment in young children – especially those children who have experienced or witnessed trauma. Ken’s developmental approach incorporates multi-sensory interventions in working with the children directly and guided interaction with parents in play with their child.
